The Dream Reborn -- in Green

Tomorrow is the last day to register at a discount for an extraordinary conference marking the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Titled The Dream Reborn, the conference scheduled for April 4 through 6 in Memphis, Tenn. will celebrate King's life while advancing the growing movement to give urban youth meaningful, dignified jobs building tomorrow's green economy.

The conference is organized by Green for All, a group founded by noted civil rights and environmental justice leader Van Jones. The co-founder of the Oakland, Calif.-based Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, Jones also helped found ColorofChange.org, the nation's largest e-advocacy group focused on black issues.

Conference speakers include MacArthur "genius award" winner Majora Carter of Sustainable South Bronx, Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr. of the Hip Hop Caucus, Winona LaDuke of Honor the Earth, and author Paul Hawken. To learn more about The Dream Reborn and to register, visit the conference Web site.
