"Katrina: An Un-Natural Disaster" wins Webby Award

The winners of the 12th Annual Webby Awards have been announced, and the winner in the Charitable Organization - Nonprofit category is Katrina: An Un-Natural Disaster, a website created to showcase the work of fellows of the Open Society Institute.

OSI has done an excellent job to help keep the story of the post-Katrina Gulf Coast in the media spotlight. The investigative reporting -- including pieces done in collaboration with the Institute's Gulf Coast Reconstruction Watch project, like this one -- radio pieces and documentary photography created by the Katrina Media Fellows have been invaluable in keeping the story alive.

Congrats to OSI and the Katrina website team for a well-deserved honor.
