Who supports Paul's anti-war candidacy? The answer might surprise you.
The top three contributors to the Republican presidential campaign of Texas Congressman Ron Paul are members of the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force, according to an analysis of federal election data by OpenSecrets.org. A former Air Force officer with a libertarian-leaning philosophy, Paul has taken a strong stance against the U.S. war in Iraq and has called for all future wars to be formally declared by Congress."His message of a strong national defense, and only going to war with a declaration of war -- as mandated by the Constitution -- resonates with those who risk their lives to defend that Constitution," said Paul campaign chair Kent Snyder. An earlier analysis by Paul's campaign found that the candidate received 1,160 donations from people in the military -- nearly triple that of pro-war frontrunner Sen. John McCain and more than McCain, Mitt Romney, and Mike Huckabee combined.
Paul's insurgent candidacy, which has done a remarkable job at fundraising, is raking in the bucks today from yet another so-called Internet "money bomb" in honor of President's Day. His campaign has already set a record for single-day fundraising totals, collected nearly $20 million in the fourth quarter alone, and had nearly $5 million more on hand than McCain at the end of 2007, with no debt.

Why is that surprising? Is it because of the media's deliberate blackout? most of us in the Paul campaign have known this for quite some time. The "why" is simple: most military members have brains and use them to weigh things out, and they realize what we've known all along and were ignored about: Iraq was a huge mistake.
And why are they supporting Dr Paul?
Here's just ONE possible reason: The founder and former head of the CIA's Bin Laden unit, 22 year CIA veteran, Michael Scheuer explains that Dr Paul is the ONLY presidential candidate to "get it", regarding international terrorism:

Oh, and, for good measure, here's legendary investor, Jim Rogers, talking about how Dr Paul is the ONLY presidential candidate to "get it" regarding monetary policy, and the economy:

The soldiers know what the real deal is. We need them to get home as soon as possible to protect us from our own damn government.
RON PAUL REVOLUTION!
I canvassed a precinct near an Air Force base. The majority of military members we spoke with supported Ron Paul. Some wanted to be delegates. On caucus day which was a Saturday, many of them had to be on duty.
All the wars of the Twentieth Century have been financed, almost exclusively, through a system of debt and taxes, via the Federal Income Tax and the Federal Reserve Bank. Neither of which are constitutional, yet they finance the U.S. government's welfare and warfare (a repetition?). That is central planning: a trait of—dare I say it?—a socialist society.
Sailor for Ron Paul here.
Sailor for Ron Paul here.
However, there are a lot of troops who still think that if you are against the war, you're against them, too.
I would figure that to be for the troops, you'd want to end the tours in Iraq for them. Some of those Soldiers and Marines are on their third tour in Iraq since the war started.
The logic that we're supposed to believe is that it's okay for a father or mother (or anyone else for that matter) to be away from the family for THREE OUT OF THE LAST FIVE YEARS, because the alternative is that Al Qeada would be attacking us in our homes if we didn't is pure fear mongering.
