Gulf Watch featured on KPFK Pacifica today

Facing South is here in New Orleans, preparing for the 2-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Despite hopeful signs of renewal, much of the city is still struggling, including thousands of homeowners who have battled to get back to their homes.

Yesterday was the cut-off date for applications to Louisiana's troubled Road Home program, an under-funded program that has been plagued by delays and wasted money. I'll be on Los Angeles Pacifica KPFK 90.7 today to talk about the Road Home program and hopes for recovery. Listen live here.

UPDATE: If you missed the show, you can listen to a podcast here.
