African-American Katrina survivors take on Congress
Mama D from the 7th Ward is on fire:
If we're not going to be honest about the racism, about what really happened, then I wasted my time coming here!Check it out now.
... You can read more about Mama D here on Facing South, from a team we sent to the Gulf in October.
... The other panelists are on fire, too. These guys don't know what hit them; clearly regretting the decision to hold the session.

Unfortunately, the same Mama D is also testifying that the poor districts were flooded on purpose. She has witnesses that the walls were "blown up". Getting on board with Farrakhan does not help anyone's testimony.
Her co-chair also refused a request to stop calling the Dome a concentration camp.
These panelists were not "on fire", rather they just blew it. What a waste. That kind of crap on Capital Hill does get sympathy, just laughs.
whoops.
does NOT get sympathy.
From Reuters:
"Leah Hodges, a community activist, recalled trying to help a group of stranded senior citizens. The military took them to an evacuation point on a highway where they spent the night, awakening to a "bunch of hard red necks scowling and growling at us in military uniforms ... pointing guns at us and treating us worse than prisoners of war," she said."
Emphasis added
Looks like more than one person has a racism problem. Wonder why this comment wasn't more widely reported in the media.
Are you saying that bigoted red necks who hate "niggers" (yes, they *still* use that word) don't exist in the South anymore? Get your freakin' head out of the sand and look around you the next time you're south of the Mason-Dixon line, why doncha?!
