Join us for launch of "East Meets South"

I have to put in one more plug for two great events happening in Durham, N.C. this weekend. In conjunction with the release of our new issue of Southern Exposure, "East Meets South: 150 Years of Asian/Southern Intersections," the Institute/SE is hosting two events:

1) The Hip Hop Generation and the Politics of Abandonment
Lecture by Hip Hop Journalist and Activist Jeff Chang. Friday, Oct. 21, 8:00 p.m., Duke University's Richard White Auditorium.

2) East Meets South: A Panel Discussion on Asian American Organizing in the South
With Opening Remarks by Jeff Chang and featuring local scholar/activists Milan Pham, Manju Rajendran, Shivali Shah, and Paul Lai.
Saturday, Oct. 22, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 pm, Duke University's Mary Lou Williams Center

Visit here for directions. Come on out, it'll be great to see you there!
