Exactly how close were you to that bird, R.? It looks like you used a flash.
MP, Stickthrower is correct, it's a green heron.
Stickthrower, no flash, just the late afternoon sunlight. I was pretty close, about 10 or 15 yards away maybe.
Bubba, are you still using the D70? Your pictures look somehow different.
