Just when I thought I was out...

…they pull me back in. A big ol' East Tennessee Howdy! from R. Neal, “the artist formerly known as South Knox Bubba”. Chris Kromm at Facing South has coaxed me out of retirement temporarily to guest blog here this week. So come on in, take your shoes off, and sit a spell, and hopefully you’ll feel right at home. If you have comments or suggestions, you can contact me at rneal@rviews.com. My sincere thanks to Chris for the invitation and for the opportunity to participate.

OK, then.

Hurrah! I hope you guest-blog frequently-- both in this appearance and in the future.

We've all missed you.

I second that! I sorely miss SKB. It was on my regular read list for a long time.

Mr. Neal, you will always be know as Bubba to us. Glad to see you you posting a bit. I look forward to cursing, insults, name calling and ad hominem attacks- of course that will all be from me.

Now, if nothing else, reopen your blog to your photography. We have no birf blogging, no pics of Knoxville events, or vacations. Get us hooked and stop the sourse? That is just cruel.

Not only do we have no birf blogging, but we have no bird blogging either! Damnit!

Glad to have you back on line Bubba. You have been missed.

As for no bird blogging . . . well, some of us didn't get the message.

Welcome back, man. I have missed reading SKB something awful. Still can't bring myself to take you out of the Fish Pond, and find myself clicking the link without thinking.

You have been missed. Big Time.

I can't tell you how glad I am to see you back (even as a guest). I have really missed SKB. I got spoiled by the work you put into your site. It was so convenient to just click on your link and find relevant, funny and thought provoking news and commentary. My husband is not much of an internet user, but I shared your vacation posts and photos with him and often printed out posts to share with him as we sat on the porch drinking our morning coffee. I'm afraid I took you for granted, SBK. I'll admit I still haven't deleted your link in my bookmarks. Every now and then I click on it....just to make sure you are really gone. I hope you, Mrs. Bubba and the pupster are all doing well.

SKB is back! I'm sure it's only because they told you that little blogger children would greet you by throwing flowers and chocolate in the streets.

Glad to see you again, if briefly.
